From Pastor Kevin V. Harris:

Never before have we as the church come to such a time as this. God is radically at work in people’s lives and the implications for us as a church are beyond our comprehension. In the midst of the economic down turn in our society, many people are struggling with personal relationships; they’re looking for answers; they’re searching for the Lord…and they are finding Him here at Lawrenceville Church of God! The church that we become in the future will be shaped by how we respond to the questions of today. I sincerely believe this can be the church’s greatest time in history. We must make the necessary plans and preparations for the future growth of our church family. The timing is critical and the window is small. God has blessed us with a tremendous opportunity, and we need to act on it now. It is time for each of us to make a personal investment to help reach thousands of people for Christ in Gwinnett County and beyond. Join with me, as we become a part of something much bigger than all of us!

People matter most to God, therefore they matter most to us, Whatever your circumstances “single, married, single again, with or without children ” and no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, you matter to God and we’ll glad to have you connect with us.
Lawrenceville Church of God is an exciting multi-ethnic congregation making an impact on thousands of people in Gwinnett County and beyond. Our church has a unique and exciting history and we’ve got more than 75 years of growth and changed lives to show for it. From our humble beginnings at the historic courthouse square to our present location in the heart of Gwinnett County, Lawrenceville Church of God continues to thrive as a beacon of hope in our community.

Our Focus

As a community of faith, we have a passion to Love God, Connect with others and Serve the world. We believe this propels us towards fulfillment of the Great Commandment in Mark 12:30-31 and the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20.

What to Expect

At Lawrenceville Church of God, our goal is to help you get the most out of life. Our worship services are designed to be relevant, enjoyable and meaningful. With great music, quality media, messages you can take with you, to exciting and interactive children, youth and adult programs, we are committed to providing you with hope and direction from God’s Word for your life.

We desire for everyone to connect, grow and serve others through Growth Groups and service teams that offer authentic relationships within a larger community of faith.

We Care About The Next Generation

We invest heavily in our children and students, believing them to be some of our greatest influencers of the church today. Our goal is to make this the best part of your child’s week and the most helpful part of yours.

We are committed to fellowship

We build lasting relationships with each other based on love, acceptance, respect, and service. We gather regularly for worship, teaching, and ministry so that our hearts may be knit together.

We are committed to pray

Prayer is the lifeblood of our Church. James 5:16 reminds us, “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”

We are committed to care.

We truly care for one another from the youngest to the oldest; from the weakest to the strongest; from the least to the greatest. Every person is important at LCOG.

We are committed to serve.

1 Peter 4:10 says, “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” The strength of our Church exists in every member assuming his or her place of active service.

We are committed to give.

We give our time, talents and treasure for the glory of God. Jesus said, “Give and it shall be given unto you” (Luke 6:38). Paul the Apostle adds, “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7).

Our Core Values

1. People matter most to God, therefore, people matter most to us. 2. We are distinctly Pentecostal. We value Pentecost with Purpose. 3. Submission one to another. 4. We look most like Christ when we are serving. 5. Life change happens within the context of community.
